Experience with database development since 1987. Previous and
current clients include a wide variety of industries. This has
allowed the experiences and knowledge base to adapt those experiences with
the needs of new clients and projects.
Some of the client industries have included:
Construction: Allowed the home builder
to identify all applicable materials and labor components. These
components allowed the user to enter current prices for materials from
local suppliers and contractors. Then, based on home-buyer style of
home and options, the builder could quickly get accurate prices, materials
requirements and available contractors to complete the project.
Medical Office: Typical medical
practice office including appointment scheduling for patient/physician,
logging of services performed, payment processing.
Accounting Systems: Most experience with
the SBT accounting systems. Involved in many aspects of customizing
many modules involved in accounting including: General Ledger, Accounts
Receivable/Payable, Inventory, Sales, Payroll. As many clients have
different requirements, so too were the customization requirements to meet
those demands.
Retail / Mail-Order: Complex integration
work to convert the SBT system to flow based on the needs of a
retail/mail-order distributor. Orders taken needed to be streamlined
from default sequence of customer first, then items of SBT. Then,
payment processing required credit-card validation before items would be
picked from warehouse. Finally, items brought to shipping counter
for inventory check-out, boxing and distribution to customer.
Medical Claims Analysis and Statistics:
Senior engineer assisting in the development of a system that allows the
user to query, slice and dice medical claims data. The stats from
costs, charges, patients, types of care given, ratios, percentages, etc
are all chosen by the user and displayed in summarized fashion.
Users then have ability to graph, report, and of-course, drill down into
the details of a given coordinate. This system generates all the
queries and aggregations dynamically based on choices made by the user.
College registration and accounting system:
Unlike a typical college, this system required MANY unique characteristics
not found in a typical college. Classes offered per week, students
sharing "dorm" occupancy with capacity of distinct invoice /
phone call billing per student. Ability to maintain
"transcripts" for a single student taking classes represented by
different schools/universities without overlap. And of course, the
flexibility of user customizing filtering condition and generating complex
reports.
Although there have been many other clients, many have followed similar
methods of operation, accounting principles, and mandates to meet the
development requirements that businesses dictate.
